%E3%80%80--What+is+the+Philippines%E2%80%99+position+within+the+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Group%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CThe+Philippines+is+unique+in+that+it+serves+as+the+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Group%E2%80%99s+supply+base+for+seafarers.+Like+other+overseas+subsidiaries%2C+we+operate+a+shipping+business%2C+which+is+the+group%E2%80%99s+core+business.+Filipinos+account+for+over+60%25+of+the+crew+on+the+ships+managed+by+the+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Group%2C+and+we+are+involved+in+many+maritime-related+businesses%2C+including+crew+manning%2C+crew+training%2C+and+ship+management.+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CIn+February%2C+we+held+the+second+graduation+ceremony+for+the+%E2%80%99%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Magsaysay+Maritime+Academy%E2%80%99+%28MMMA%29%2C+a+merchant+marine+university+we+operate+jointly+with+our+Philippine+partner%2C+Magsaysay+Maritime+Corporation+%28MMC%29%2C+and+were+able+to+send+off+the+second+graduating+class+of+students+who+completed+the+curriculum.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%96%A0+Realizing+regional+strategies+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80--%E2%80%9C%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Enterprise+%28Philippines%29%E2%80%9C+was+established+in+April+last+year+as+the+group%E2%80%99s+core+company.+What+is+the+aim+of+the+new+structure%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CBased+on+the+%E2%80%99regional+strategy%E2%80%99%2C+one+of+the+main+strategies+of+our+management+plan+%E2%80%99BLUE+ACTION+2035%2C%E2%80%99+our+aim+is+to+strengthen+our+business+operations+in+the+Philippines%2C+where+high+economic+growth+is+expected.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CPreviously%2C+there+were+two+wholly-owned+local+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+subsidiaries+in+the+country%3A+Eco%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E%2C+which+was+responsible+for+reducing+GHG+%28greenhouse+gas%29+emissions+by+improving+the+operational+efficiency+of+the+group%E2%80%99s+entire+fleet%2C+and+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Bulk+Shipping+Philippines%2C+which+handled+the+operation+of+small+and+medium-sized+bulkers+and+wood+chip+carriers.+The+businesses+of+the+two+companies+have+been+integrated+into+a+new+company%2C+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Enterprises+%28Philippines%29%2C+which+now+oversees+the+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Group%E2%80%99s+business+in+the+Philippines.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80--What+are+the+results+and+feedback+so+far%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CIn+the+Philippines%2C+in+addition+to+a+wholly-owned+local+subsidiary%2C+we+have+several+group+companies%2C+including+a+seafarer-related+business+company%2C+MMMA%2C+%3Cb%3EMOL%3C%2Fb%3E+Logistics+%28Philippines%29%2C+which+handles+international+forwarding%2C+and+MM+EMPOWER%2C+a+Filipino+recruitment+consulting+company+for+Japan.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CIn+the+past%2C+each+company+in+the+group+tended+to+pursue+individual+optimization.+After+transitioning+to+the+new+structure%2C+we+are+strengthening+collaboration+between+the+companies%2C+unifying+their+strategies%2C+and+sowing+the+seeds+to+expand+and+deepen+our+business+throughout+the+Philippine.+So+far%2C+we+and+Magsaysay%2C+our+local+business+operator%2C+have+been+able+to+unify+operations+to+facilitate+communication%2C+and+we+have+seen+a+certain+sense+of+unity+among+the+structures+of+the+group+companies%2C+so+the+foundation+is+steadily+being+established.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%96%A0+Exploring+investment+in+shipping+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80--What+is+the+future+direction+of+your+business%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CWe+will+develop+new+business+opportunities+in+the+Philippines+and+make+investments+to+ride+the+wave+of+economic+growth.+This+is+the+basic+direction.+In+order+to+realize+the+%E2%80%99development+of+global+social+infrastructure+businesses%E2%80%99+outlined+in+our+management+plan%2C+we+understand+that+we+need+to+focus+on+and+invest+in+areas+where+high+economic+growth+is+expected%2C+and+the+Philippines+is+one+such+area.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CWe+will+naturally+focus+on+strengthening+our+shipping+business+within+the+region+and+to+and+from+the+Philippines%2C+where+cargo+movements+are+continuing+to+expand%2C+including+the+import+and+export+of+bulk+cargo+and+the+import+of+finished+vehicles.+But+more+than+that%2C+we+want+to+explore+investment+opportunities+to+create+new+pillars+of+revenue+here%2C+where+the+average+age+is+young%2C+the+population+is+growing+rapidly%2C+and+we+can+certainly+expect+high+economic+growth.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80--Are+there+any+businesses+that+could+be+potential+investment+targets%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CWe+are+looking+at+three+areas%3A+LNG+%28liquefied+natural+gas%29%2C+FSRU+%28Floating+Storage+and+Regasification+Unit%29+and+offshore+wind+power.%E2%80%9C+%3Cbr%3E+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%96%A0+Opportunities+for+FSRU+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80--How+do+you+view+the+LNG+and+FSRU+business+opportunities%3F+%3Cbr%3E%E3%80%80%E2%80%9CWe+believe+that+LNG+imports+are+certain+to+increase+in+the+future.+The+premise+is+that+there+is+a+common+understanding+in+the+Philippines+that+electricity+demand+will+increase+due+to+economic+growth+and+population+growth.+The+area+has+domestic
