本職は正社員として、GMS Japan のディレクターに直属します。

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position：職務及び責務

　Day-to-Day support to Japanese shipowner/operator clientele, including:
　■ Consultancy for compliance with North American and Panama Canal regulations
　■ Client meetings (physical and online) to ascertain needs, answer questions, ensure satisfaction with GMS services
　■ Daily review of client email requests and inquiries,
　　 provide response directly when feasible and refer to GMS USA when input/support is required.
　■ Daily attention to client phone calls, to respond to requests and inquiries
　■ Oversee translation (English to Japanese, using admin support) and proof reading of regulatory Client Advisories and/or newsletters
　■ Marketing of GMS services to potential clients in Japan, with a focus on business expansion
　■ Logistical arrangements for securing seminar venues, hotel accommodation, transportation within Japan, etc.
　■ Drill & Training support where necessary
　■ Candidate to be trained in all of the above

日本の船主・運航会社の顧客への日常的なサポート（以下を含む）：
　■ 北米及びパナマ運河規制の遵守に関するコンサルティング
　■ ニーズの把握、質問への対応、GMSサービスへの満足度確認のための顧客ミーティング（対面及びオンライン）
　■ 顧客からのメールによる依頼・問い合わせの日常的な確認、可能な場合は直接対応し、必要に応じてGMS USAへ照会
　■ 顧客からの電話への日常的な対応、依頼・問い合わせへの回答
　■ 規制に関する顧客向けアドバイザリーやニュースレターの翻訳（英語から日本語、事務スタッフのサポートを活用）及び校正の監督
　■ 事業拡大を重視した、日本における潜在顧客へのGMSサービスのマーケティング
　■ セミナー会場、宿泊施設、国内移動等の手配
　■ 必要に応じた訓練・研修の支援
　■ 候補者は上記すべてについて研修を受けます

Essential Credentials & Qualifications for the Position：応募資格

　Candidate must:
　■ Be detail-oriented
　■ Be a motivated learner to stay up to date on North American regulations,
　　 and remain abreast of latest challenges and news impacting the shipping industry
　■ Be proficient in both written and verbal communication;
　　 be capable of communicating in both English and Japanese, verbally and in writing
　■ Have superior organizational skills
　■ Be capable of forming close working relationships with GMS’ client base in Japan,
　　 and give them a high degree of confidence in GMS Japan’s local capabilities

　Candidate preferences:
　■ We prefer to have someone with experience sailing as a merchant marine or prior military sailing experience
　　 and/or experience ashore in commercial ship operations/management.
　■ We prefer that candidate is located in the greater Tokyo area.

優遇条件：
　■ 商船の乗組員経験、軍での乗船経験、
　　 または商業船舶の運航・管理に関する陸上勤務経験を有する方を優遇します。
　■ 首都圏在住の方を優遇します。

Miscellaneous：その他

　■ Position involves working remotely about 80% of the time, with occasional office visits, as applicable,
　　 and providing written reports about meeting details to USA HQ
　■ Travel will be necessary within Japan approximately 3-4 days per month, with occasional (but rare) overseas travel,
　　 if considered necessary.
　■ Salary is negotiable based on applicant’s experience

　■ 本職は約80％がリモート勤務となり、必要に応じてオフィスへの訪問があります。
　　 また、ミーティングの詳細について米国本社への書面報告を行います。
　■ 月に約3～4日程度の国内出張が必要となり、必要と判断された場合は稀に海外出張が発生する場合があります。
　■ 給与は、応募者の経験を考慮の上、決定します。
